Celebrating "A Toast to 20/20"
The perfect evening on the perfect date.
“A Toast to 20/20” on 02.20.2020 🥳
We figured the turn of the calendar to what we’ve dubbed “Our Year” would be a great excuse to celebrate with all of the people who have helped us grow our business into what it is today. We were so grateful to celebrate at an event where our clients, colleagues, family, and friends all came together, creating a truly special night. Check out the pictures below and keep reading our story of how this event came to be!
OUR STORY
Rob and I had always wanted to throw a 5-year anniversary party (that was four years ago). But now that we’re in our 9th year of business we decided to take the “better late than never” approach. It just so happened that all of the ✨ aligned to make the night happen.
The evening kicked off at Power Plant Productions in Old City, a unique and intimate venue perfect for all 125 of our guests. Our caterer, Power Events Catering, worked with us and curated a custom menu of seasonal hors d'oeuvres, tapas, and stations, perfect for an on-your-feet, greet & mingle, networking-style event. Ryan Brandenberg Photography captured all of the memorable photos 📸 in the gallery above and DJ Yonah, from Synergetic, helped keep the night alive with a spirited music playlist. A very special thank you to my wife, Meg, who conceptualized and coordinated pretty much the entire event, from the decor to the vendors - quite the feat.
As a final word about the ambience, we knew that planning an outing in February could end in a powdery, slushy, winter disaster, but weather held up, so the ice-ing on the cake was bringing winter indoors with our custom 20/20 ice sculpture, designed by Ice Concepts. #Classy2020
OUR CAUSE
As many of you know, our HR Director, Baby 🐶, is a very hard worker at the office. She barked at any opportunity to help with the party and decided she wanted to support her rescue organization, Pibbles & More Animal Rescue!
We kindly asked our guests to consider bringing much-needed supplies to help PMAR, an organization made up entirely of volunteers and foster families. At the end of the night, we were so happy to report that with the generosity of our guests, we more than 400 lbs. of food, 50+ toys and collars, and an abundance of other supplies, all while two adoptable pups, Ophelia and Huck Finn, were on-site saying thanks.
“together, we collected more than 400 pounds of food and 50 toys and collars”
OUR WORK
Not to bury the lede, but our party also served as an outlet to debut our 2020 Production Showreel. Last year, we spent more than 140 days shooting for 90+ clients in a whirlwind of a year. Our editor, Christina Betz, made it her mission to go through every project and create a seamless reel of excitement and inspiration. While we couldn’t include every project in our reel, we certainly tried and appreciate all of our clients who trust us with telling their story every year.
